November is Premature Birth Awareness Month

With over 450,000 premature babies born in the United States each year, that rakes in a 1:10 of all babies being born too early (before 37 weeks of pregnancy). A preemie myself, the role of advocating for awareness has grown ten-fold since facing the pregnancy complications that increase my risk for a premature birth for our little girl on the way.

For decades now, the March of Dimes has been a thought leader, paving the way for community intervention and global advocacy for the awareness of risks associated with pre term birth. November 17th marks the Global Premature Awareness Day -- get involved!
