This past Saturday we had Grace enjoy her first sleepover at Grandbarb & Pop's house, and mommy and daddy went to the movies and dinner and had a solid night sleep! It was AMAZING to be given the chance to re-charge.
I've been going to Shoreline for decades now, but the experience in the new reserve-ahead recliners is second-to-none. With this past weekend still in the 90s, the air conditioning was a phenomenal relief, but the real beauty was in the entire experience from sound to screen, all in the comfort of our own little pods. Two and a half hours without a baby crying or anyone trying to steal my water bottle-- it was heavenly.
The movie was excellent- a must-see in the theaters. The 3-D experience allowed us to fully indulge, truly captivating each minute of action.
We topped off the night at Joya on University Ave in Palo Alto for some tapas, the perfect ending. We made a reservation that morning and were glad we did as they were packed, but perfectly accommodating when we were running 15 minutes behind getting out of the movie a bit later than expected.
Date Night for the win!!
